As Charge Nurse you will join a specialist team, contributing to the running of a 33-bedded unit including an 8-bedded HDU. You will be a professional and clinical role model to a team that serves a heart & lung transplantation programme, taking continuing managerial and clinical responsibility.
To be considered you must be a NMC registered with senior or management experience and relevant HDU/ICU/CCU.
Key responsibilities include;
- Taking accountability for the 24-hour management and organisation of the Ward/Department. This involves managing the unit budget and wide range of complex and sometimes conflicting priorities.
- Provide specialist nursing, support and to facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients in collaboration with the multi professional team.
- Develop leadership strategy to ensure that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery.
