Finance Operations Lead – Bank Reconciliations

We are looking for a Finance Operations Lead – Bank Reconciliations, to join our international client based in Gdańsk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the bank reconciliation team; ensure accurate and timely reconciliations.
  • Oversee end-to-end reconciliations in BlackLine, including review and approval.
  • Manage team capacity and close timelines; identify and escalate risks.
  • Own aging and resolution of open items; enforce SLAs and escalate material issues.
  • Maintain reconciliation policies, procedures, and internal controls (SOX or equivalent).
  • Act as escalation point for complex exceptions and cross-functional issues.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits related to bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor KPIs, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and report to finance leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement across BlackLine, SAP, and process documentation.
  • Partner with Treasury and Banking Operations on bank connectivity and account setup.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives, including system upgrades and entity onboarding.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification preferred (ACCA/CIMA).
  • Over 6 years of relevant experience (Bank reconciliations/GL/cash), including previous experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience preferred within SSC/GBS environment – fast-paced and multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and BlackLine.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and SOX environments.
  • Good understanding of IFRS/US GAAP.
  • Good English – used on daily basis at work.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
