Scheduler/Planner

We're currently seeking a motivated Planner to join our client's team in Katowice.
For our client, we are seeking an experienced Planner to support planning and progress measurement on complex capital projects within the metals, energy, and infrastructure sectors. This role is suited to candidates with strong experience in engineering consulting and EPC/EPCM project environments.

Responsibilities:
1. Safety
  • Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to safety and compliance with company procedures.
  • Report safety incidents and intervene in unsafe situations.
2. Project Master schedule development:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in line with company procedures and best practices.
  • Refine FEL4 Level 3 schedules and identify critical vendor data requirements.
  • Prepare baseline S‑curves using approved quantities and labor data.
  • Participate in schedule risk analysis and incorporate contingencies.
  • Review contractor Level 4 schedules and provide recommendations.
3. Schedule monitoring and updates:
  • Produce weekly schedule updates and progress reports.
  • Monitor progress, identify variances, and recommend mitigation actions.
  • Perform scenario planning and critical path analysis.
4. Change and trend management:
  • Incorporate approved changes into the schedule and assess their impact on project timelines.
5. Progress measurement and earned value:
  • Collect progress data from EPCM reports, vendor updates, and cost reports.
  • Calculate progress for construction packages and support earned value reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • 2–5 years of experience in project control on medium or large multidisciplined projects (E/EP/EPC/EPCM).
  • Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience preparing and presenting consolidated project and financial reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Understanding of project management principles, risk management, estimating, and tendering processes.
  • General technical understanding of multidisciplinary project environments.
