ENGINE MECHANICS

Responsibilities

  • Accomplish and document the completion of prescribed tasks according to approved Technical Manual procedures and publications
  • Use specific supplied tooling and fixtures in the accomplishment of the prescribed tasks
  • Regular control of required tooling and equipment (condition and required calibration status control)
  • Interfacing with the ERP supporting computer systems (SAP) to complete the required tasks
  • Working together with colleagues to maintain quality, safety, and production performance targets at required levels
  • Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and work in other areas as required by the business (Note: Subject to the completion of required training)
  • Setup and operation of equipment and machinery
  • Programming and loading of equipment
  • Documenting the completion of work steps; performing maintenance on equipment and machinery (incl. cooling fluid replacement, machine oil change)
  • Cleaning of the equipment and associated tooling

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar position in the industry or as a car mechanic
  • Willingness to work shifts
  • At least a basic knowledge of English
  • Good team work and communication skills
  • Technical aptitude and orientation to maintain a high quality output
  • Good attention to detail
  • Experience in the aviation industry will be an asset

NDT MECHANICS

NDT Mechanic Level 1

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and perform NDT inspection of parts and modules in accordance with prescribed engineering and technical NDT instructions
  • Schedule work according to specifications
  • Select NDT test method according to the technical instructions
  • Adjust NDT test equipment in accordance with NDT Level 1 or 2 personal
  • Support and improve employees during NDT processes
  • Supervise all activities of NDT trainees
  • Create NDT reports

Requirements

  • Specific technical knowledge and skills
  • Knowledge of NDT procedures (FPI, MPI, ECI, RT)
  • Theoretical/practical training in gas turbine mechanics; basic jet engine course
  • Suspected Unapproved Part (SUP) Awareness Training
  • Certification of aircraft parts – Awareness Training (Form One, FAA 8130-3)
  • Good level of written and spoken English is required
  • Vocational level training in inspection instrumentation, toolmaking, machining, industrial/car mechanic, metalworking profession
  • Certified FPI/ECI/MPI/RT Level 1 training per DIN EN 4179 or NAS410
  • Experience in the aviation industry preferred
  • Willingness to work shifts
  • Good team work and communication skills
  • Technical attitude and orientation to maintaining a high quality output
  • Good attention to detail
NDT Mechanic Level 2

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and perform inspection of parts and modules in accordance with prescribed engineering and technical NDT instructions
  • Adjustment of NDT test equipment
  • Training of the other team members
  • Maintenance and control of machinery and related tooling, adapters and measurement probes
  • Supervision of all of the activities of NDT Level 1 personal

Requirements

  • Experience gained in a similar position
  • Knowledge of NDT procedures (FPI, MPI, ECI, RT)
  • Good command of written & spoken English
  • Certificate: FPI, ECI, MPI, RT Level 2
  • Willingness to work shifts
  • Good team work and communication skills
  • Technical aptitude and orientation to maintain a high quality output
  • Good attention to detail
  • Experience in the aviation industry will be an asset

Propulsion Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer work scope and customer requirements into work instructions
  • Define qualification levels for the maintenance tasks on job cards
  • Implement regulatory requirements
  • Implement recommendations from OEM's and Design Organizations (e.g. SB, EB, SIL)
  • Check customer work scope and provide recommendations
  • Implement OEM requirements in manufacturing process on the basis of approved data
  • Provide technical information and the shop visit report to the customer
  • Engineering responsibility for assembly and disassembly procedures

Requirements

  • Previous work experience in maintenance planning or production of aviation products
  • Profound knowledge of relevant aircraft engines, aircraft and engine parts and components
  • Profound knowledge of machining processes, test and examination processes incl. knowledge of error detection processes
  • Knowledge of relevant materials such as processing materials and consumables
  • Very good command of English (Polish and/or German will be a great asset)
  • Basic business management knowledge for profitability calculations

WHY XEOS

XEOS will operate a state-of-the-art engine service centre for the newest GE aircraft engines. The joint venture partners are investing 250 million euros in the new engine overhaul facility in the Legnica Special Economic Zone in Środa Śląska in Southwestern Poland. The factory is scheduled to become operational in 2019. By 2021 XEOS will have a workforce of around 600 employees. The company is investing PLN 60 million in staff training. The XEOS Specialised Training Centre in the Lower Silesian capital Wrocław (opened in June 2017) is the most-cutting-edge training centre in the aviation industry in Central and Eastern Europe.
