Chief Accountant

Location: Bieruń (near Katowice)
For our client, we are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant who will take ownership of full accounting operations, statutory reporting, and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting to the parent company.
  • General ledger control, account reconciliation, and ensuring accuracy of all entries.
  • Correct booking of documents and preparation of tax declarations.
  • Reporting to NBP, GUS, Intrastat, and KSSE.
  • Supervision of KSeF implementation and training of team members.
  • Optimization of accounting processes and preparation of accounting policies.
  • Production cost analysis, fixed asset accounting, and accrual postings.
  • Review of company agreements and recommendations for updates.
  • Monitoring changes in accounting and tax regulations.
  • Support in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Cooperation with auditors, law firms, advisory companies, financial institutions, and KSSE.
  • Ensuring data security and confidentiality.

Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Several years of experience in independent accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Polish accounting and tax regulations.
  • Experience with financial reporting and cooperation with external institutions.
  • Very good English skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with KSeF is a strong advantage.
