Position Overview

As a Zscaler IT Architect, you will act as a technical leader and subject matter expert across a global enterprise environment. You will play a key role in driving the design, adoption, and optimization of Zscaler solutions, ensuring high-quality and standardized implementations across regions. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical design and architecture for all Zscaler-related initiatives
• Define and govern end-to-end solutions across the full Zscaler stack (ZIA, ZPA, Zidentity, ZCC, App Connectors, Private Service Edge, ZDX)
• Prepare and maintain architecture documentation (HLD/LLD)
• Act as an escalation point for complex architectural decisions
• Evaluate and onboard new Zscaler capabilities; lead PoCs and pilot implementations
• Provide expert guidance on deployments, integrations, and configurations
• Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of implemented solutions
• Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues and act as L3/L4 escalation
• Collaborate with global IT teams (Network, Security, Cloud, Workplace)
• Define standards, best practices, and runbooks
• Mentor engineers and support capability growth within teams
• Drive alignment between business needs and technical solutions

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in Zscaler engineering or architecture roles
• Strong experience in large, distributed, hybrid IT environments
• Deep knowledge of Zscaler technologies and Zero Trust architecture
• Proven experience designing and governing enterprise-scale cloud security solutions
• Hands-on experience with traffic forwarding methods (Client Connector, GRE/IPSec, PAC)
• Strong understanding of segmentation models, performance, and resilience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence decisions and drive adoption of technical standards
• Experience working in global, multicultural environments
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Network/Security Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

• Zscaler certifications (ZCCA, ZCTA, ZDX)
• Network certifications (e.g., Cisco)
• Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP)
• Experience working with external vendors and global integrators
