Head of Finance at GBS

For our Client, who is currently building new SSC structures, we are seeking a candidate ready to advance their career as the Head of Finance Operations for the EMEA region.
The role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence in a growing global business services environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acting as the key point of contact for finance operations across regions
  • Leading service reviews, managing stakeholder meetings, and resolving escalations
  • Overseeing end‑to‑end finance service delivery across the EMEA
  • Developing talent through coaching, succession planning, and retention initiatives
  • Driving process optimization and achieving defined KPI targets
  • Preparing and presenting performance insights, risks, and action plans
  • Partnering with the Managing Director to ensure aligned cross‑functional delivery
  • Identifying improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and scalability
Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in Finance operations, preferably in SSC structures
  • Track record in people leadership and talent development
  • Demonstrated expertise in service delivery and process optimization
  • Proven success in leading regional or global Finance teams
  • Strong analytical and performance management capabilities
  • Fluent English skills
Additional assets:

  • German language knowledge
  • Experience in process transitions
