For one of our clients – a biotechnology company, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Payroll Analyst with very good English and French or Portuguese or Spanish skills.
Sr. Payroll Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day preparation and production of the biweekly/ monthly payroll across Europe, Canada, LATAM & MART countries.
The individual will be responsible for administering all payroll related tasks, including collecting and validating pay inputs internally, working closely with external payroll providers for payroll settlement and reconciliation and supporting employees with payroll related inquiries.
What You Will Do:
- Process bi-weekly/monthly payrolls for the countries in scope including collection of all pay inputs, time and attendance entries, employee status changes, benefit deductions, etc. along with coordinating the settlement and accounting processes with payroll providers and internal finance & accounting teams
- Ensure all payroll activities are processed accurately and timely every pay cycle
- Provide optimum service delivery, timely follow-up, and resolution of tickets/requests support to employees, in-country HR & Finance on payroll related matters
- Ensure all transactions are processed in compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and payroll tax obligations across jurisdictions and maintaining accurate payroll records
- Develop subject matter expertise in Payroll processes and various systems involved for the countries in scope
- Document internal processes and ensure that the country level work instructions are being kept current and updated
- Assist on special projects as assigned
- Drive/participate in process improvements initiatives
Qualifications:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent professional payroll training/course work
- At least 2-4 years of experience in payroll operations
- Experience of working in a Multinational /multicultural GBS/Shared Service Center /BPO environment preferred
- Prior experience in ADP, EY and Oracle/OTL systems highly preferred
- Proficient in MS Office, including strong Excel skills is required. Experience in Access is a plus.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in global team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external business partners of all levels & disciplines as well as external 3rd party providers
- Responsibility, independence
and customer orientation - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in English
- Language capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese or French are desired
- Healthcare/pharma/Life sciences industry background an advantage
- Experience in an international, customer-centric environment preferred
